Mathematics is actually a discipline where a student has to catch on the good sense and clear set of a formulas. When such sets up are basically laid down, then a scholar simply must practice and also get a command of the issue by preforming the key examples. As the outcome of working hard and building upon a sound basis, a better result of A or B should be expected without any hesitation.
Finding the right "handle"
Whenever a student is having a hard time, I find the proper "handle" in order to operate to allow the child to perceive the concept. Due to my experience from an extensive lifework where I had a mentor responsibility, although beyond education, I can easily show the influence of numeracy, as well as of the need to develop a person's peace of mind. I strongly feel the art to getting expert at or good in mathematics is in the teacher; this is not the scholar's defect if the teaching is low-grade and/or doesn't open the consciousness and allow them to "realise it", enjoy it and also get convinced at it.
The key to success
I think that a student will not learn in case they are not encouraged and engaged, and a specific strong motivator for individuals is the partnership between the scholar and the teacher. A supportive attitude, and an atmosphere within which the relations between scholar and teacher can progress and raise frank communication, so the learner is not afraid to address sectors of disadvantage and uncertainty, will be provided. I work hard to establish a respective and supportive partnership with each child I teach, so that they also can understand the fantastic awareness into the real world that science and maths deliver me.
I can easily tutor students in any grade of mathematics. I believe that my fantastic advantage is actually to meet the individual child at the grade they currently are, and encourage them further. I strongly believe that almost nothing is more crucial for success that the student's self-confidence. It is my goal - to help children get faith in themselves through mathematics and walk through. Few details satisfy me more compared to when a child sees it and their self-confidence flourishes.
